Implant Dentistry

Implants are often considered as the first option for the replacement of a missing tooth or teeth lost through disease or accident. They are made of titanium and permanently anchored into the jaw. The implants will feel and look as good as your original teeth. If you have jawbone ridges that are in good shape and healthy mouth tissues you are a good candidate for implants.

We work very closely with dental specialists for all our comprehensive implant case planning and construction of the prosthetic crown (the crown connects to the top of the implant).

  1. The first step is placement of the titanium implant which remains covered under the gum for 3-6 months. Osseointegration takes place during this time whereby the jawbone grows into the implant.
  2. The second step involves uncovering the implant and attaching an implant impression coping which enables us to take an accurate impression of the implate site. The laboratory will create a custom fit implant abutment (or foundation on which the crown will be placed) and a new crown.
  3. The final step is the placement of the abutment and new crown on the implant. An implant crown or bridge can be made to restore function and appearance.
